Minutes of the Autumn Meeting, Newcastle, November 21st 2015
John Glees, our Chairman thanked Wendy Taylor and Tony Branson for all their efforts in arranging such a stimulating scientific session. In addition special thanks were given to Professor Reg Hall, who delivered the Trevor Roberts Memorial Lecture, which was enjoyed by one and all. 29 members attended the meeting and apologies were received from a further 14 (see names below). These numbers indicate how successful the Society is at present.
Robert Huddart was welcomed as a new member to the Society. He had given a most stimulating lecture at the Marsden meeting and it was a pleasure to welcome him again, now as a member of the Society.
Royal Marsden Minutes
The minutes of the meeting held at the Royal Marsden Hospital had previously been circulated. Since then 3 CPD points have been awarded by the College.
Proposed New Members
Frankie Calman from London was proposed by Margaret Spittle and seconded by John Glees. Two other new members previously proposed (Denise Hrouda and Kate Newbold) were unable to attend the meeting in Newcastle but both have indicated their wish to become members and will be invited to the next meeting.
It was good to note that Roger Buchanan, a previous 1951 Club member, has expressed interest in rejoining our joint Society and we hope to see him at the next meeting.
